From M6

• Leave motorway at junction 10A, following M54 to Shrewsbury.
• The road becomes A5. Continue along A5, bypassing Shrewsbury.
• After many roundabouts, you will come to one with a turn off for A458 to Welshpool.
• Follow this road, through Welshpool. Continue A458 until you come to the end.
• Turn left on A470 towards Machynlleth.
• After a few miles you will come to a roundabout.
• Take A489 to Machynlleth.
• Follow the road into the town. At the end of the road, turn right on A487.
• Follow the road for half mile, over a bridge, then turn left to Aberdovey ( Aberdyfi). Stay on this road for 10 miles and it will take you into the village.

If you do not fancy the motorway, We have found travelling cross country via Ludlow, Craven Arms & Newtown, is just as quick, with no traffic, very scenic and fewer miles.

Once in Aberdovey (Aberdyfi)

• Follow the road through the village until you come to the Beach & Carpark on your left.
• (After the sailing club) .
• Park in the carpark, turn and look at the row of brightly coloured houses along the seafront.
• Pier House is the one above the toy shop, "Aladdins Cave".
• Entry is through the door into the shop, but do not turn right into the shop. It is the door straight in front of you.
